Pictures tell a story of this man... brave and beloved by all!

"Vincent is the man people count on. For decades, he served in law enforcement, stepping forward when others stepped back. But his service didn’t stop when he took off the uniform—it’s who he is every day."

Vincent's Story...

My name is Vincent, and my life has been built on love, service, and perseverance—but over the last few years, it has also been defined by strength in ways I never imagined.

In February of 2022, my life changed. I suffered a stroke caused by high blood pressure. In a moment, everything I once did without thinking—walking, talking, driving—became things I had to fight to get back.

And I fought. Not just for myself, but for my devoted wife, my sons, and the life I knew I still had ahead of me.

By 2023, my journey took another turn when I went into kidney failure. It was another challenge I didn’t ask for—but one I refused to let define me.

I had to relearn how to walk. I had to find my voice again. I had to regain my independence.

And by the grace of God and my own determination, I did it faster than many expected. Not because it was easy—but because quitting was never an option for me.

Today, I go to dialysis three days a week.

I don’t complain. I show up. Because I understand that every treatment is another chance at life. Every day I wake up, I pray not just for healing, but for strength, for purpose, and for the opportunity to keep moving forward.

Through it all, I’ve remained the same man at my core—a husband to my high school sweetheart, a father to two sons I’m deeply proud of, and now a man preparing to become a grandfather.

That alone reminds me that I still have so much to live for.

I’ve spent 34 years serving as a police officer, protecting others. Now, I’m learning how to fight for myself with that same level of commitment.

I matter because I didn’t give up when life got hard. I matter because I continue to show up—even on the days that are not easy.

I am not what I’ve been through—I am who I chose to become because of it.

And I’m still standing.
